The rollout, which will commence in the Q4 of 2020, will first bring the latest Android 11-ready smartphones Nokia 8.3 5G and Nokia 5.3. Owners of the Nokia 2.2 and Nokia 8.1 will also receive the first update of Android 11 this year. The Nokia 2.3 and 2.4 will receive Android 11 on Q1 2021 while Nokia 3.2 and 7.2 will get it between Q1 to Q2 of 2021.
According to HMD Global, Nokia smartphones powered with pure Android 11 will enjoy managing conversations across multiple messaging apps on their Nokia smartphones. It also comes with a dedicated Google Assistant button, provides a full snapshot of your day through the Google Assistant button or voice commands, Focus and Bedtime modes for digital well-being, and resetting of permissions from rarely used apps for protection of personal data.
All Nokia smartphones come with up to three years of monthly security updates and two years of OS updates.
